Natal is coming, it's on the way you can't stop it. So why not accept it's iminent arrival and learn a little bit about it. Allow the misconceptions to be done away with and open your mind to the potential of what's to come.

Rumors had been percolating for months that the Xbox 360 had some sort of 3D-capable motion tracking device in the works. But Microsoft made it official with private demonstrations of the new technology at the Los Angeles Convention Center that year. We were skeptical, to say the least.

Natal is not just a camera.
Natalis not a controller.
Natal is not a new Xbox 360.

Project Natal Quick Facts
Release Date: Holiday 2010
Works With: Any Xbox 360
Price: TBD

So just what is Natal? Wii competition? After reading that article over a few times and digging around some more on the internet i can say it does look like it changes how you play a game and just when i thought i kind of understood the project i came across this

Same source claiming Natal IS the next xbox console

According to Aaron Greenberg, Director of Product Management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, Natal substitutes the need for an Xbox 360 sequel. When asked directly if Natal is replacing a new console, Greenberg smiled and offered, "We don't think we're halfway through this generation." Pressed further about if Natal means Microsoft will not release a new console anytime soon, Greenberg said, "I would say so, absolutely. It will extend the life of this console."

So basically think of the old sega megadrive or genesis if your from America, console add-ons to prolong the life rather than a new console entirely, such as the sega-cd and the sega-32X
It's definatley going to be one to watch but with the Wii out there i can't help but feel this isn't as ground breaking as Microsoft claim, sure it may do what the Wii does on a better more superior level but thats a given seeing how new this technology is compared to the Wii.
